QUESTION: Rabbi, Do you support the Libertarian Party's position on the Second Amendment?

ANSWER: Dear Mr. Rustad,

I  just today received your email. The Libertarian Party's Second Amendment position is crystal clear. It is exactly the way I would have written it myself. It is also the position of the NRA, of which I'm also a Life Member, and the platform of Gun Owners Alliance. I dedicated three years of my life to the service of this country thinking that I was protecting a right which is so basic. While the Libertarian Party embraces certain positions which I find difficult to understand, as pertains to firearms ownership the LP is 100% on track. I endorse it most heartily.
