What is your opinion on the use of the .32 ACP caliber as a CCW handgun?
The .32 ACP in Winchester's Silver tip loading has been touted as a good defense round for those who must dress light and are unable to carry anything more substantial. While shadowed by the .380 ACP in terms of stopping power, it is superior to the .25 ACP. Its low operating pressure allows for straight blow back pistol design, resulting in a light, uncomplicated piece. One small gun manufacturer, Seecamp, has been making finely crafted, highly concealable .32 ACP pistols for some time. They aren't inexpensive, and the waiting list is long if you care to order from them. Their pistol is designed for the Winchester Silver tip round only. Use of any other round will probably wreck the gun. This is attributed to head spacing considerations, even though the .32 is semi rimmed. In Europe, it is known as the 7.65 Browning.
