QUESTION: Dear Rabbi Mermelstein:

I have a brand new Seecamp .32 that I waited 2 years on order.

After firing about 50 to 75 rounds, the gun started jamming (FEED JAMS) twice in every mag. of 6 rounds.

What is your comment?????

Thank YOU

ANSWER: Dear Sir,

Assuming you are using Winchester Silver tip factory ammunition, the only cartridge for which the Seecamp is designed, are either (or both) lips on the magazine bent? Is the magazine spring cocked or kinked under the follower? Magazine damage is responsible for a disproportionate percentage of failures to feed in any autoloader. Sometimes even a handmade piece like the Seecamp requires a couple of hundred rounds to break it in and cause the moving parts to mate smoothly. If none of this addresses the problem, I'd return that puppy to Seecamp for immediate repair and request the fastest turn around time, seeing you waited 2 years to get it. If the problem is with Seecamp, I'm as disappointed as you must be at their failure to function fire the pistol with at least a full box (50 rounds) of ammunition before letting it out of their shop.

Sincerely,

R. Mermelstein
