Alliance (e li'ens) -A close association for a common objective.

"2nd Amendment Whistleblower"
Chris W. Stark - Director & email editor

Most of us have at one time or another, heard the quote, "It is not good to air your dirty laundry in public." I even remember that one person defined the origins of the quote as, "...an Ancient Chinese Saying."

Regardless, most do interpret the above saying in a more direct approach, and feel the interpretation is simple, "Don't publicly expose wrong doing and corruption, but rather confront such issues privately." In some instances, the best and most ethical approach in dealing with wrong doing would be to confront issues privately. This, Gun Owners Alliance agrees with, in certain (but limited) circumstances.

But what about the times when we are dealing with and entity, and out of control organization, that has repeatedly, and for many years, been told the same thing privately, but to no avail?

Gun Owners Alliance has read your numerous e-mails and letters concerning the NRA, and how the NRA has a mentality that they are above reproach, that whatever they decide is best for America's gun owners, and their decisions are cast in concrete, and how the NRA never answers any communication unless they are backed into a corner. You have told me the only time the NRA wants to communicate with their members is when they want more money, and never for any other reasons. And, above all things, you have told me of the numerous times the NRA has supported actual gun control measures in your own back yard (State).

Go to http://www.GunOwnersAlliance.com/NRA.htm for an in-depth look of this perplexing problem we have dealt with.

On occasion, there are some who misunderstand the mission of Gun Owners Alliance, in how we have become in sorts, a 2nd Amendment Whistleblower. Rather, some have felt we have given aid and comfort to the enemy, and
even strengthened the hand of HCI, because we have openly exposed the NRA (and other compromising gun groups) when they have sold you out. "It is not good to air your dirty laundry in public." Yes, we have heard our critics complaints.

Consider for a moment, what would have been the outcome, if a determined "Whistleblower" had not most recently, exposed the perversion of the Catholic priests who were having sex with the alter boys? This has now been shown to be a widespread problem inside the Catholic church. Should the Whistleblower of this injustice taken the advice I have received in the past (It is not good to air your dirty laundry in public), then tell me, would the widespread sexual perversion still be going on? You know the answer.

Even so, Gun Owners Alliance is faced with three options when dealing with the NRA's compromise:

1) Do nothing, and be assured that the problem will continue,
and that your sacred 2nd Amendment rights will be given away
in some "secret" smoke-filled congressional committee session,
and ultimately be voted on, hidden in some appropriations bill
that is several thousand pages long.

2) Privately, write letters to the NRA, and see "business as
usual" within the NRA. In other words, expect to be ignored
as has happened, so many, many times before, to devout NRA
voting members, Life members, NRA Benefactors...you name it.

.....or......we can......

3) Remain the 2nd Amendment Whistleblower, publicly expose the
compromise within the NRA, and hope that enough NRA members
(and non-members alike) become voting NRA members, and cast
the vote for no-compromise NRA board of directors, that will
root out the evil within the NRA.

Many of you who have followed Gun Owners Alliance, have also seemed a bit bewildered, and wondered if our fight to set the NRA in the right direction is all in vain. You have complained that the upper management of the NRA is so entrenched within it's system, that change cannot come! I am here to tell you, change IS on it's way, and I will tell you how this will come about.

Presently, under the Bush administration, we have seen an impasse on new gun control laws. Rather, Attorney General Ashcroft has parroted NRA's call to enforce "existing" gun laws (Project Exile). For a better look at Project Exile, go to http://www.GunOwnersAlliance.com/gun_gulag-1.htm as well as other articles on Project Exile (we call it Project Gun Gulag) at http://www.GunOwnersAlliance.com/NRA.htm

One of the reasons we have not most recently seen additional gun control laws enacted is also due to "who" is in the House and Senate. I am here to tell you, we are on the verge of seeing this change, and anti-gunners be elected in a simple majority. This is likely to happen in the elections to be held in November 2002. Don't forget also, we have a Presidential election in 2003. And I assure you, the Presidential election is likely to be nastier this time, than when Gore tried to illegally seize the power of the Presidency, through corrupt Florida Judges.

Once new gun control laws hit the books, then and only then, will the indifferent NRA membership realize that their NRA is once again, sleeping on the job. It is only a matter of time. As it stands, one would think the NRA membership would already be enraged that the NRA is not pushing to pass repeal legislation on bad gun laws. But the NRA does not want to make the Republican legislators cast "hard" votes on repeal laws. After all, that might make your legislator squirm, and make hard decisions, and "...we don't want them to lose their re-election bid, on a vote for repealing anti-gun laws, now do we? That might make them unpopular with their constituents!" Hogwash! Never mind their oath of office! But that is EXACTLY what the upper brass at the NRA is thinking.

Change for the worse is coming, because we are not on the offensive NOW, in repealing bad gun laws. MARK MY WORDS. We are in the calm before the storm. Oh, how easy we forget how close we came to a Gore Presidency! If you think a Bush Presidency is bad, you ain't seen nothing yet!

Under the NRA Bylaws, the Board of Directors, NOT the Executive Vice President, sets NRA policies. And NRA policies and actions WILL determine the future of our gun rights. Don't believe that? Go to:

http://www.GunOwnersAlliance.com/BoD-1.htm

Please give me your input on the above URL, ESPECIALLY if you do not believe the NRA has such power, that they can and will determine the future of our gun rights.

That's why it is critical that you elect NRA Directors who are both dedicated and knowledgeable, and who will not only talk about your Second Amendment rights but will stalwartly defend them, and not just be a rubber stamp for the upper management of NRA, as it is now.

Other organizations may boast of their defense of the Second Amendment, but all put together are no more than an irritating gnat to Congress and state legislatures. NRA does wield power with Congress!

Where NRA goes, we all go. When NRA goes in the wrong direction, we all go in the wrong direction. That's why it is sheer foolishness for members to resign their memberships, for they can cast the deciding vote to bring in a no-compromise NRA board of directors IF, AND ONLY IF, they are NRA members! You cannot vote for NRA directors of you are not an NRA member! That's why you should vote in NRA Board elections.

It is paramount you read in it's entirety, this URL I am giving you now:

http://www.GunOwnersAlliance.com/BoD-1.htm

It will show you the POWER the NRA wields on our politicians, and what happens when the NRA sends the wrong message to Congress.

There was a time that I actually advocated resigning one's NRA membership, because I was so disgusted with the compromises, and back door deals the NRA was making with politicians, at the expense of losing our 2nd amendment rights. However, over the years I began to realize that if we are to reign in this wild, and out of control gun lobby, we would have to learn from our enemy to INFILTRATE the halls of the NRA with a strong, no-compromising Board of Directors, that will insist on change and get the job done! And you can only vote for the NRA board of directors by being at least a 5 year renewing member, or a life member of the NRA. The VERY people that resign their NRA memberships out of disgust (due to the compromise NRA is well known for), are exactly the members that could have cast the vote to throw the compromisers out of the NRA! http://www.GunOwnersAlliance.com/NRA.htm to see how we view the NRA.

Friends, boycotts against the NRA do not work to reign the NRA into submission, and stop compromising our rights away. Joining other gun organizations is a very good step and much needed, but it is not the total and final solution to this dilemma. If it was, we would have won the battle by now! The truth is, the NRA is NOT going away, for there will always be enough simple-minded people that will "blindly" follow "Moses" in spite of what is right or wrong (you will try in vain to change their minds). Equally, as long as the NRA has $80 million to spend on funding an election cycle, you will have politicians sell their soul to get their hands on this money, and will do whatever the NRA tells them to do to keep the money coming! If we can just get NRA to tell them the right thing, we might turn this battle around!

$25.00 - $35.00 per year for an NRA membership does not line NRA's wallet by a long shot. Their real money comes from additional contributions apart from annual membership dues! Annual membership dues cover the money they spend on your initial membership. So, if you are worried about promoting gun control by keeping your NRA membership, think again. It is a break even situation for them at the price they offer an annual membership. I know this to be a SOLID FACT. Just don't give them any more than the annual membership!

Folks, it is time we understand that our day will come, to see change within the NRA. It is our responsibility to be PREPARED when this day arrives. If we are not prepared, we will miss a rare window of opportunity that will only open for a brief space of time.

Help Gun Owners Alliance spread the word! Consider joining our webring called, "Gun Owners Alliance for a No-Compromise NRA". It is found at:

http://www.GunOwnersAlliance.com/no-compromise.htm

E-mail us, and let us know your thoughts on this subject. And by all means, help us prepare for the day we can regain control of the NRA with a no-compromise board of directors. For if we don't accomplish this goal, we can expect for more bad gun laws to be passed, with the help of none other, than the NRA. Business as usual, you might say.

It's our call. Are you ready to respond to the call? United together, we can, and will be ready.

With Respect,

Gun Owners Alliance
